The Torais Estate is located in the Alentejo, between Montemor-o-Novo and Évora. The vineyard of about 20 hectares was planted in 2002 and 2003 and is part of Alentejo region, protected designation of origin, in the sub-region of Évora. The varieties are: Trincadeira and Aragonez with 7ha each, Syrah,  Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional. Since 2004 it was assumed deliberately as “farm wine” type, privileging quality over quantity. The wines of Torais Estate have been awarded in several national and international competitions, and is it now mandatory to known this Alentejo’s wine.
