Tasting with workshop – Jaen’s secrets – Dão Red wines
Brought by pilgrims, returning to the motherland, through the paths of Santiago, Jaen grape is grown in the Dão region, at least since the middle of last century. Out of fashion, it was forgotten until the mid-90s. Nobody knows why, for this grape produces wonderful, elegant wines, intense in color and very soft. But it is its intense and delicate perfume, reminding raspberry, that makes this variety so precious.
